Raj and Shalini Engagement Portrait Photos

Raj and Shalini were a wonderful couple to work with. We photographed their engagement photo session a week before they returned to India for their wedding – which I would have loved to photograph as well. The session was an extremely generous gift from thier many friends.

Kirsten & Peter’s Wedding

It was fantastic catching up with the Cameron family again in November, after having Photographed two of Kirsten’s sisters already – we almost feel like part of the family.

Kirsten and Peter celebrated their wedding at the Heritage Rose Garden in Carmel on what was a perfectly sunny day.  We captured some wonderful images around the grounds afterward and  then headed back to Kirsten’s families beautiful home for the reception.

Have a great holiday in the US and we look forward to giving a you a proper showing of the images when you return.

Sorry, Peter – I had to put this one in!!!

Jennifer and David Engagement Photos

We had the pleasure of visiting Jennifer and David at their property in Clackline for a series of couple portraits.  Jennifer had a very busy day sitting an exam that latest 6 hours so she had every reason to feel a little frazzled.  Instead she was cool, calm and relaxed.  Which is exactly what I think she will be on her wedding day next weekend where we will also have the pleasure of being their wedding photographers.  Jennifer and David’s parents property adjoin each other with Jennifer’s parents very much into horses and David’s parents an olive farm.  So from a photographic stand point we were in seventh heaven.  There were just so many photo opportunities it was hard to stop.  We discovered we had actually taken photos of Jennifer about 11 years ago when she was a rider with the Pony Club Association and we photographed the State Championships.  The photos were still on the wall which was great to see.

Our daughter was with us on the day and Jennifer’s Mum very kindly gave Jessie a pony ride that ended up lasting over an hour.  This day of wonder for her was complete when she had the avid attention of 3 farm dogs who were only too happy to fetch sticks all day.  Thank you again for providing us with such an opportunity and we look forward to spending the day with your next weekend.

Sandy & Peter (Perth Wedding Photography)

We had the privilege of photographing Sandy and Peter’s wedding a short while ago.  Sandy and Peter own the beautiful winery called  Chidlow’s Well.  Sandy and her bridesmaids got ready at the Duxton hotel which is always a fabulous spot for   wedding photography in Perth.  I just love the black and White photograph of Sandy looking into the mirror.  Sandy and Peter exchanged vows at Christchurch in Claremont before we headed to Fremantle for wedding pictures with the bridal party.  Peter wanted to re-create the Beatles ‘White Album’ cover photo so what else could we do but stop traffic in busy Fremantle while we made sure we had enough frames!!  A few cars honked but it always amazes me how patient people usually are when it comes to weddings.  It is not unusual for Craig to be laying down in the middle of the road to get the shot he wants while I attempt to stop traffic on a dual carriage way…I think I need danger pay!  After these photographs we headed off to the harbour so that Peter & Sandy could go for a leisurely cruise with their bridal party down the Swan towards the East Fremantle yacht club.  Sandy & Peter met on a similar cruise when Peter was the skipper so it seemed fitting they arrive at their reception in this way.  Meanwhile their guests were happily sipping some excellent wine from Chidlow’s Well so everyone was happy.  Thank you Peter & Sandy for letting us be your wedding photographers.

Emerald & Steven Wedding

Last month we had the privelege of photographying Emerald & Steven’ s wedding.  We have held off posting any photographs as they had an extended honeymoon in Vietnam and we wanted to wait until they got back and got to see their photographs first.  I know its probably said a lot but Emerald and Steven were absolute naturals in front of the camera.  We swear they have been practicing their poses as they just simply feel into each others arms making for magic moments to photograph.  Maybe there is a secret class somewhere for bride and grooms to go to learn how to ‘pose naturally’!  Emerald was absolutely stunning in a gorgeous dress that fitted her like a glove.  After the wedding at the Croatian church in Fremantle we headed into Freo for photos.  Now anyone who has done wedding photography will tell you that there are just too many great locations in the old port city to know where to start.  We headed down near the round house for a series of family photographs and then with just the bridal party.  Some of my favourite photographs are then down at the Fishing Boat Harbour.  Glorious golden light shone onto the boardwalk making for absolute stunning images of Emerald.  It cooled down pretty quickly and despite the poor bridesmaids shivering they braved the waether and kept smiling for the camera.  Finally we headed down to the beach for a series of stunning sunset shots before heading the the Esplanade for the reception.  Thank you Emerald and Steven for making it SO easy to do our job on the day…it didn’t feel like a job just great fun (which always ends up with the most amazing photographs).  Enjoy!wedding photography perthwedding photography perth

Lisa & Mark’s Wedding Photos

Well that first picture pretty well sums it all up!  We had a great time shooting Lisa and Mark’s wedding on Sunday, and it was also great to catch up with Michelle (& husband Jason), Lisa’s sister , as we photographed thier wedding 6 years ago.

I just thought I would post a few photos here guys, though whether you will have time to see them whilst sun baking on Waikiki beach or riding the waves on the pipeline I don’t know.  I do know that I am green with envy that you are in Hawaii and I am not!  🙂  just kidding, I hope you enjoy it and have a great time.

See you when you get back.

Kim and Jason’s Wedding Photos

Kim and Jason’s wedding day was supposed to be a warm sunny day.  Not!  And am I ever glad. 🙂  We started the day at the boys house, Jason has these really cool cuff links of the Bat Signal and best man Clint and I were vying for the best_really_bad_corny_worst jokes.  Clint won 🙂

Jason is about, oh, the bazillionth wedding that we have done in his extended family, having worked our way through most of his cousin’s (big hello to all the Von Bergheim’s ….and Simone and Lee, and Julie and Aaron, time to bring those kiddies of yours to the studio for some family pics!!!) It is great when you are at the wedding ceremony, look around and realize you know a good portion of the congregation!

But Back to the wedding day.  I was tracking the weather on my iPhone most of the day (Pkt Weather is the App) watching these enormous rain clouds track down from the north, and willing them to go somewhere else. It worked.  Mostly. But that’s Ok.  Cause we got some fantastic cloudy sky shots, and down at the river where we were shooting, it really gave the water texture as well.  So often Perth looks like someone has plopped a big blue bowl on top of the city, it is nice to have something different!

Can’t wait to show you the rest guys, see you when you get back from your honeymoon.

Craig & Michelle
